Kawhia Click Happy – KAWHIA 2021.03.01 to 2021.03.05

Kawhia was an incredibly happy accident.
We had not intended to head here.  We were actually slated to be in Papakura but the lockdown left us adrift.  As the lead up to the tour had been a whirlwind with no breaks I looked on the map and thought…where does it look peaceful where we haven’t been yet.  And that isn’t in lockdown.  We decided to head over to Kawhia and my intent was to put my feet up for a few days and just relax and organize.
I lasted about half a day before I rocked up at the local school to chat with the principal.  As you will see she was pretty quick to put me to work and I had an absolute blast with this mob.   My week blew by and I was welcomed with huge open arms.  I have a very tender heart for Kawhai now and can’t wait to get back and see the kids and staff again.
