SOUTH WAIKATO CLICK HAPPY WAITOMO – 2021.02.18

The final example of Grit is Craig, one of our board members, hurculean efforts to get the caravan finished in time and on the road. After 6 months of working on the thing, a series of setbacks had landed us with no bed and no walls up the day before we were supposed to leave. We managed to get the walls up but it was getting late and the hard deadline to get to Waitomo was approaching. So Craig pulled an all nighter and constructed the bed before we hit the road.
He finished at 5 am and I threw all of the kit into the caravan and hit the gas pedal.
Arriving with 5 minutes to spare! Hairs breath…but we did it.
Gritty our Irish Doodle Youth Worker seemed to be the hit of the workshops. She is particularly good at teaching how to use fast shutter speeds and bringing out smiles. Several scholarships were given out to continue into the Click Happy Plus workshop series.
