Wellington Changemakers – Wellington – Visual Poetry Jam (25 September 2023)

Collaboration with Changemakers which works with local refuge communities. Our reason for the collaboration was that our values aligned and we also wanted to support Create Happy Magazine which is run by youth in our trust to have a greater level of diversity in its content creators. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to kick off a collaborative project with them. Our biggest vision is to help support youth to learn to tell their story effectively. We do this through our magazine Create Happy and through our Visual Poetry Jam workshops. One of our goals in the collaboration was to see if we could find any students who were keen to keep going with our training and work with the youth magazine and we managed to find a student who is very keen to work with the graphic design team.
